Every year Historic Salem, Inc. invites community members to nominate recently completed preservation and rehabilitation projects for a Preservation Award. The HSI Preservation and Bowditch Awards recognize excellence in stewardship, craftsmanship, and respect for Salem’s historic character.

Come get the “scoop” on preservation! Join us this September as we celebrate the outstanding preservation projects happening throughout Salem, nominated by neighbors and selected by a panel of local experts. This year, we’re also proud to recognize the winners of the HSI Salem 400+ Photo Contest. In partnership with Salem 400+, photographers of all ages and skill levels were invited to capture the past, present, and future of Salem through their lenses. Come see the winning photographs, enjoy an ice cream buffet and cash bar, and celebrate the people helping preserve and showcase the city we love.
