HISTORIC SALEM, INC. LAUNCHES HISTORIC HOUSE RESOURCE EXPO
Salem, Mass (July 9, 2025) – Historic Salem, Inc. has announced the newly created Historic House Resource Expo, which will run in conjunction with its annual Preservation Awards event scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Salem High School. The event, which is open to the public, will run from 9 am to 12 pm.
The Historic House Resource Expo will feature suppliers of products and services needed by homeowners in historic Salem and the North Shore area. “We have learned that homeowners are looking for information and resources to help them with home improvement and restoration projects. Our Preservation Awards event offers one of the best ways to learn from those who have successfully completed preservation and restoration projects around the city. Now we will be offering an opportunity to meet with companies and individuals whose services are used in such projects,” says Richard Lindeman, President of Historic Salem, Inc. “We hope to have architects, designers, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, painting, and other professionals participate and share their expertise with attendees,” he continued.
At the Preservation Awards event that will run in conjunction with the Historic House Resource Expo, attendees will learn about:
- High-quality renovation and preservation of residential or commercial properties
- Expert craftsmanship in fences, arbors, garden houses, and historic landscaping
- Exceptional stewardship, going beyond basic maintenance to preserve historic integrity
- Notable contributions by preservation advocates and community leaders
- Renewal or rehabilitation of abandoned or disaster-damaged historic properties
